We believe the Bible is the inspired and
inerrant word of God. We believe the Holy Scriptures are the only authority
for what the Church believes, teaches, and practices. We believe our purpose
in life is to glorify the Lord. We believe we should strive for righteous
and holy living. We acknowledge that our only righteousness is in Christ. We
believe the Lord is most honored and most pleased when we acknowledge the
authority of His Holy Scriptures and apply its teachings to our lives.
The Bible is the most important book ever
written. It can also seem like the most difficult to understand, which can
be discouraging. Many of us have biases and many people are satisfied with
whatever they’ve been taught. Many churches hold up their creeds and
confessions above the Bible itself. While it is a blessing to have parents,
pastors, teachers, and others to instruct and guide us, each of us
also has a duty to study the Bible personally. As you study your Bible, do
so with prayer and a sincere desire to seek the truth. From the two links at

articles on some of the fundamental principles we believe the Bible to
