We will add more content in course of time with sermons, studies and position papers, historic items, photos, and some page scans from our old 1835 minute book.

Today's Des Moines River Primitive Baptist Church began in 1835 under Elder Wilson Thompson in Ohio. Over the next several years the members and families moved to what would become the Iowa Territory, dissolved Mt. Zion, and constituted the Des Moines River Regular Baptist Church in 1841. So officially, "on the books", we are still "Regular Baptists".
