Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure. If the good which we do is done through ability God gives, (in essence God working in us, both to will and to do of His good pleasure), and God has no pleasure in wickedness, then why do some credit God with causing certain wickedness which man commits? He gives grace to do His pleasure, and He has no pleasure in wickedness. Therefore the wickedness we do is not caused by Him, nor is He pleased with it. Simply put, that which we do through him is as stated in the verse and nothing more than, good. 1 Corinthians 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which [was bestowed] upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. |
