The Spirit Of God Is Most Powerful

Published by: Editor on Thu, 09 September 2004 18:18:32 | (3133 Reads)

John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

The Spirit of God is as invisible as the wind. We cannot see the wind but we know it is present because of the effect it has on everything. The wind blows and the trees are moved because of it. The wind blows and things move. The wind, though invisible, is powerful enough that it can move huge buildings.

The Spirit of God is invisible, just as the wind is invisible. The Spirit moves upon the child of God and causes him to be changed from a complacent being to one who is filled with the zeal of God. The Spirit is invisible, but the effects of it are far from being invisible. The effects are plainly visible and they are long lasting.

When God moves something it is moved. When God desires something to stay moved, it stays moved. The Spirit of God is a most powerful force in the life of every child of God. The Spirit comes when we are not expecting it, works when we are not aware of it, and remains within us even if we don't recognize it.

The Spirit of God is most powerful.

Editors Note: This verse which Elder Culver wrote about speaks very clearly of how one is born of the spirit, otherwise known as born again. It makes one ponder, why so many in the religious world claim that man borns himself again, when this verse claims the oposite, as Elder Culver stated. For man to give himself a new birth, he would have to control the Spirit. In that case, he would also have the ability to control the wind. We all know, that is an impossibility.
