(Daily Devotion for June 9, 2004)

Thanks be to Thee, O gracious LORD,
That we may turn to Thee today,
Bringing our cares unto Thee,
Seeking Thy help, Almighty Way.

Father, we own not strength of hand
Nor wisdom with healing power.
We haven't might to remove the pain
Our loved ones suffer this hour.

Even, had we possessions of gold,
Healing cannot come by wealth;
We know such must come from Thee:
All our sustenance and good health.

Please have mercy, LORD, we pray!
Look tenderly on these we love.
If it please Thee, grant them healing;
And, their sorrows and pain, remove.

By the mercies of God,
Sister Peggy Hood
